As we start a new year, I finally have the opportunity to give my Podcast a fresh start. What was intended to be a short pause turned into a months-long delay. I am grateful that many listeners have stayed with us. So, first of all, I want to send a new year greeting to all of you and welcome you back to this program.

In this season, I will introduce one article in each episode. As always, you may come across new words or unfamiliar phrases. However, there is no need to worry. This is not a test, nor is it a task that requires perfection. The purpose of this program is to help you learn a language in a more realistic way. Understanding the content, rather than focusing solely on the language itself, should be your goal.

For Happiness in the New Year, Stop Overdoing Everything

Each New Year, we pledge to transform our bodies, improve our careers, organize our homes and develop new hobbies. We dedicate ourselves to doing more—more exercise, more work, more activities and social engagements. On its face, striving for more sounds pretty good. But it also has a dark side that we need to resist.
